Who we need Our Carpentry & Joinery provision is growing this role will teach across a range of levels of Carpentry & Joinery courses and as part of the role the successful candidate will: Collaborate with colleagues to develop, implement and evaluate strategies that enhance the student experience. Ensure all opportunities for employer involvement and support is maximised for the benefit of our students. Equip learners with the skills to progress to further study or work, ensuring delivery of a responsive, high-quality curriculum. Motivate students to exceed expectations, encouraging them to take ownership of their studies and achieving excellent results. Contribute to quality assurance, including classroom observations. Plan, prepare, and deliver teaching sessions, tutorials, and assess student progress to ensure a high-quality educational experience. What you’ll bring The ideal candidate will have relevant educational and practical experience in site, domestic, commercial, or industrial settings, along with a passion for teaching and assessment. You will lecture and assess Carpentry & Joinery qualifications for both full-time and apprentice students, delivering courses from Level 1 to Level 3. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Carpentry & Joinery qualification (NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent). A teaching qualification is preferred, but we will support you in obtaining one if necessary.
