Job Summary Exceeding expectations through education, innovation and inspiration… Role Title: Lecturer / Assessor in Hairdressing Location: Yale Contract Type: Fixed Term (until January 2026), Part time 0.41 FTE for Lecturer role. & 0.58 FTE for Assessor role Salary: Lecturer £32,304 - £49,934 & Assessor £32,608 - £36,748 (Pro Rata) Coleg Cambria are now recruiting for an Lecturer / Assessor in Hairdressing to join our Hair and Beauty team based at our site at Yale on a fixer term contract until End of January 2026 The successful candidate will perform scheduled teaching to our level 2 & 3 learners, including preparation of learning materials, and marking of students’ work. They will also provide educational guidance and support for all students and act as a personal tutor when required. As an Assessor at Coleg Cambria you will be responsible for assessing a range of qualifications up to Level 4. This will include monitoring candidates’ progress towards their qualifications, giving them constructive feedback and helping them prepare their portfolios of evidence. Salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience.Upper pay range points UP1 are subject to evidence of previous progression to the Upper Pay Spine Essential Requirements A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification A professionally relevant qualification at minimum of Level 4 or equivalent. Possess or be willing to work towards an assessor’s qualification (TAQA). Possess or be working towards a Verifiers Award. Demonstrate an understanding of current developments within your own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment Proven industry experience within a professionally relevant area.
