This is an exciting opportunity to work with learners on our Health and Social Care and T Level Health programmes. T levels are new qualifications that are designed to deliver a high level of skills and knowledge to learners and a significantly enhanced placement experience. This means T Level learners know more, and can do more, than students on other level 3 health/health and social care programmes which makes them highly sought after by employers and by universities. Bridgwater and Taunton College was among a small, selected number of college’s nationally to be approved to deliver this programme. We work with and advise other colleges to support their T level provision in health which is a testament to our expertise in this area. The College recently invested £1.5 million into creating a purpose-built T level centre for our health and care students based at the Taunton Campus including a simulation ward and classroom facilities. Due to significant growth, we are seeking to appoint full time lecturer to support our T level and Health and Social care programmes. You could be an experienced Healthcare Assistant, a Nurse Associate, Assistant Practitioner or a registered Allied Health Professional looking to change your existing role to teaching high achieving and enthusiastic learners. This role will also include pastoral support for learners through being a personal tutor as well as academic teaching, learning and assessment. This post would suit a current practitioner that is enthusiastic about the role of education in supporting young people to become ready for employment or progression to further study and supporting Somerset to grow our own healthcare workers for the future. This role will require working across both Bridgwater and Taunton Campuses. BTC is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and communities
