We are experiencing exciting growth in this area of apprenticeship delivery at Umbrella, so we are seeking a Culinary Skills Coach to join our team of Industry Experts and work with our amazing client base across the UK.

Job Title: Culinary Skills Coach (Trainer/Assessor)
Hybrid: Home-based – with travel
Ts&Cs: Monday - Friday, Full Time, Competitive Salary, Benefits & Expense Package
The post holder will support learners on the following apprenticeships: Commis Chef, Production Chef, Chef de Partie, Senior Culinary Chef and Senior Production Chef.
Further Summary of Role
- To deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment within the agreed sector specialist areas; working towards timely achievement of the relevant apprenticeship standard
- Work in partnership to ensure that the planning and delivery of programmes is tailored to support the growth and development of our learners, and the client's needs.
- To have a passion for Culinary and share your knowledge with apprentices.
- To be the designated person for your learners during their apprenticeship journey with Umbrella Training.
- You will be supported to ensure you can deliver training to all learners, including being able to teach in a way that accounts for reasonable adjustments and provides appropriate support for special educational needs and disabilities.
- Training can be provided to adhere to Prevent, Values and Safeguarding areas.
- Support the demands of the department and business as needed including continuous improvement activity and curriculum developments
Qualifications and experience:
Essential
- Culinary/Catering experience in Hotels, Restaurants or Production environment
- Experience within FE or Apprenticeships
- Evidence of discipline with/and meeting strict deadlines and targets
- Working with a diverse client base and having a professional approach at all levels
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work and adapt within a changing environment
Desirable
- Teaching/training qualification and suitable occupational/industry qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- PGCE, TAQA, CAVA qualification or equivalent CTTLs
