Competitive starting salary range from £37,631 up to £42,943 (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

Our dedicated Teaching Fellow team are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Fellow in Adult Nursing you will undertake teaching while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.

Based within the School of Health and Care you will work closely with other academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience to ensure, as appropriate, relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.

Duties include:

Supporting with the design and delivery of our UCAS and Apprenticeship Curriculum.
Lead on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7 in relevant academic subject areas including curation, adaptation and creation of learning materials, assessment and feedback tasks, inline with our quality assurance processes.
Upholding high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment.

Qualifications Required

NMC Registration in Adult Nursing (Current and Active) is essential for this role
An Honours Degree in an appropriate/ relevant professional subject area with a professional qualification
A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
A PhD, or a Master's Degree would be advantageous

Our Successful Candidate

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Adult Nursing with high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning or have significant clinical experience and knowledge of supporting learners within the clinical environment.

You will have experience of supporting Apprenticeship learners either within higher education or within the clinical setting.

As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
