The opportunity

We have opportunities for bright and enthusiastic full time pharmacy technician apprentices to join our pharmacy team in Maidenhead.

The apprenticeship is for 2 years.

The role

Pharmacy technicians work as part of a pharmacy team under the direction of a registered pharmacist. The role includes:

Requirements

GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths, English and ideally Science
You will have excellent customer service skills and be adept at sorting out queries over the phone and in person.
You will be keen to learn and able to multi-task
You will be willing to work towards, Pharmacy Technician (NVQ level 3). Training is on the job and online
You will be competent at, or willing to learn about, ordering and checking of received goods
You will be willing to learn about, communicating with patients regarding prescriptions and over the counter queries

Hours

Full time - Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm with an hour for lunch.

20% of this time will be for studying including weekly live online teaching.

Salary

Qualified dispenser salary depends on experience and qualifications.

£6.40 - £11.44 per hour depending on age and experience

20% staff discount.
