As a Lecturer in Education & Early Years at Starrycare, you will deliver high-quality teaching, assessment, and student support within childcare programs. You’ll play an active role in course planning, student engagement, and collaborating with team members to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as Programme Tutor, supporting student progress through targeted goal-setting and monitoring.
Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and tutorials across Education & Early Years courses, utilizing innovative methods and emerging technologies.
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, assessments, attendance, and related data.
Collaborate closely with college managers and team members to foster a supportive learning atmosphere.
Contribute to student discipline and morale, and address behavioral or attendance issues as needed.
Participate in college events such as open days and parents’ evenings, with occasional evening flexibility.
Support and adhere to Starrycare’s policies on equality, diversity, health and safety, safeguarding, and other relevant standards.

Education & Qualifications:

Relevant qualification in Education & Childcare.
Minimum GCSE grade C/4 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Assessor/IQA qualification (or willingness to obtain).

Work Experience:

Experience working with children and young people in early years or education settings.
Experience delivering NCFE/CACHE Childcare & Education qualifications.
Experience with exam-based qualifications.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Teams and ProSolution/ProMonitor.

Skills & Knowledge:

Ability to create a stimulating learning environment using available resources.
Effective in managing student behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.
Proficient with IT, administrative tasks, and record-keeping.

Personal Qualities:

Strong teamwork skills with a track record of collaborative success.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, with strong administrative and IT skills.
