The role is hybrid with Wednesdays working from home. Candidates must be able to commute to Crossgate’s for the other four days.

Job description:

Duties and responsibilities:

Write efficient and maintainable code using best practices for website development, in line with company coding standards.
Work with other programmers and designers to create websites which match the agreed client expectations.
Communicate with colleagues to gather and refine requirements while delivering projects within agreed timelines.
Have a proactive attitude to research and documentation to gain the knowledge to complete a task.
Create and maintain documentation for developed solutions.
Improve and maintain existing projects.

Skills required:

Willingness to learn existing and new technologies
And good knowledge and understanding of PHP, SQL, Javascript, HTML and CSS
Can analyse a technical problem and propose a solution

Personal qualities:

e approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to explore different solutions and overcome challenges.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with team members, conveying ideas, and articulating technical concepts.
– A team player with a love of technology and a passion for quality.

Minimum qualifications required:

GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Create logical and maintainable codes for software development.
Apply security best practice to the software solution throughout the software development life cycle.
Apply appropriate recovery techniques to ensure the software solution being developed is not lost.
Implement accurate and effective change control.
Undertake unit testing of solutions, with appropriate levels of test code coverage, to identify and resolve issues.
Apply suitable ‘bug fixes’ based on severity and priority.
