Job Summary:
We are seeking a Youth Development Coach to provide support to young people in maximising their life opportunities and reaching their full potential. This role involves providing practical, personal, and emotional support to help young people build the skills they need for a successful future.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the assessment and ongoing reassessment of needs to ensure plans remain effective.
- Offer personal and emotional support to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Advise young people on key areas of support, including health, benefits, education, training, housing, employment, and personal well-being.
- Help young people make informed decisions, self-advocate, and engage fully in the development of their Pathway Plans and Personal Action Plans.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
- Experience working directly with young people, particularly those in care or recently leaving care.
- Ability to work creatively with young people, including those with complex needs or in vulnerable situations.
- Understanding of the challenges young people face regarding housing, education, training, and employment.
- Experience collaborating with other professionals and agencies to support young people.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car or reliable transport for work purposes.
Remuneration:
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 per annum. We offer a comprehensive support package, including full-time hours, occasional evenings and weekends, and benefits for young people.
