About This Role
We are seeking a Trainee Lending Representative to join our team at Cherry Godfrey, a leading financial organisation based on the Isle of Wight. As an Apprentice Trainee Lending Representative, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience in customer service and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
- You will work within the lending team, dealing with customer enquiries face to face, via email, website, or telephone.
- Evaluate, prepare, and approve loan applications in line with company policies and procedures.
- Perform general administrative duties and update Group databases as needed.
- You may be required to travel to our Southampton office occasionally.
Essential Qualities and Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including being confident, approachable, and providing good customer service at all levels.
- The ability to follow processes and accurately record sensitive, confidential data.
- Proficient IT skills for data management and communication.
- A minimum Grade 4 in English and maths is required.
- Attention to detail is crucial when handling sensitive data and loan documentation.
Apprenticeship Details
- You will study towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
- Functional Skills in Maths and English may be required if not previously achieved at GCSE grade 4 or above.
- 20% off-the-job training is required, which equates to 6 hours per week, and includes shadowing colleagues, learning new skills, or other support work.
Working Arrangements
- This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday.
- Your hourly salary will be £8.80, and your weekly pay will be £308.
Further Information
Please note that the current National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
Once qualified, there may be opportunities to progress within the lending team and take on additional responsibilities, such as securing new business through local partnerships.
