Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Curriculum Development Manager to lead our Sustainable Food Systems education initiatives. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative education programs that match our organization's aims and targets.
The successful candidate will have a relevant HND/degree level qualification, five plus years of industry experience, and excellent knowledge of current and future trends in UK wide food education. They will also have experience in managing multiple projects with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a full-time position based at Dumfries House, with occasional travel required. The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative education programs that match our organization's aims and targets.
- Lead on creating and delivering relevant day and multi-day programs that demonstrate the connection between the food we grow, reduce food waste, and promote good nutrition.
- Manage external stakeholders and consultants utilized in the delivery of education programs.
- Maintain effective administrative systems, policies, and procedures to provide an organized and efficient structure for the delivery of programs.
Requirements
- Relevant HND/degree level qualification related to industry or another relevant subject.
- Five plus years of industry experience leading similar initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of current and future trends in UK wide food education relating to creating a secure food system from soil to plate.
- Understanding UK wide food strategy and horticulture skills gaps.
- Excellent educator and communicator able to make and improve the connection between the practical process of growing food, reducing food waste, and links to nutritious seasonal food and health.
- Prior experience educating and engaging with young people or community groups.
- Able to develop and implement learning resources linked into curriculum themes.
- Three years plus project management experience, including experience in the running of educational and/or apprenticeship programs and of managing staff teams.
- Experience in managing multiple projects with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing grant or foundation funded programs, including of the reporting and financial management requirements.
