We are seeking a full-time Lecturer in Journalism Sports Broadcast Journalism to make significant contributions to the academic development and course management within our School.
The successful applicant will have recent experience working as a senior broadcast journalist, with previous employment as a sports journalist, and either teaching experience within a higher education environment or substantial industry experience in a senior editorial role.
In addition to teaching, the successful applicant will be involved in developing industry partnerships and marketing our programmes, leveraging their expertise in broadcast journalism to drive engagement and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students on our journalism courses
- Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and resources
- Cultivate industry partnerships to enhance student learning experiences
- Contribute to programme development and accreditation processes
Requirements:
- Good honours degree or equivalent in a relevant area
- Ideal candidate will hold a formal teaching qualification or be a Registered Practitioner of Higher Education Academy
- Recent experience working as a senior broadcast journalist
- Previous employment as a sports journalist
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
