About the Role
Choice Teachers is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Lead – Apprenticeships & Work-Based Learning to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and curriculum development within our Apprenticeships and Work-Based Learning programmes.
You will collaborate with the Work-Based Learning Manager to oversee internal quality assurance processes, drive continuous improvement in programme delivery, and maintain positive relationships with employers and stakeholders. You will also coordinate external quality assurance visits and play a key role in enhancing learner outcomes and employer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement internal quality assurance strategies aligned with organisational policies.
- Programme Management: Support the design, delivery, and monitoring of apprenticeship standards and work-based learning programmes.
- Team Leadership: Line-manage Trainer Assessors, ensuring high standards of assessment and delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure all documentation and processes comply with awarding body and organisational standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, learners, and external organisations.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to programme innovation and quality improvement plans.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 vocational qualification with relevant CPD.
- Level 3 TAQA/Assessor qualification or equivalent (A1, etc.).
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Experience in training, assessing, and quality assurance within further education or training environments.
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship standards and vocational qualification systems.
Desirable Attributes
- Leadership or management qualifications.
- Experience managing work-based learners and supporting curriculum development.
Special Requirements
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Current driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use (or alternative travel arrangements).
