What to Expect in the Role:
This is an amazing opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to join our team, in a career-graded Trainee Support Officer position, starting on 1st April 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity, for the right candidate, with professional development and career progression within our fantastic Environmental and Operational Services Team.
Providing excellent administrative and organisational support to the team, you will have the chance to be involved in a diverse range of projects, including the monitoring of leisure services and supporting the delivery of major events, to communities across the District. You will go on to develop your skills in all other aspects of Environmental and Operational Services. You can expect both on and off-site training and support to help you to achieve either an intermediate or advanced level apprenticeship under the Business Administration apprenticeship framework.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Please see Job Description and Person Specification for more details):
- Provide general administrative support to the team, enabling the delivery of efficient and effective services.
- Support the promotion and communication of the services we provide across our website and through social media channels.
- Lead on processing event bookings and co-ordinating the events calendar for the District.
- Support the successful delivery of major events across the District, driving local economic growth and increasing footfall.

- Experience of working in a customer facing environment and providing advice and guidance to customers.
- Excellent organisation skills, someone who is thorough, with attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of audiences.
- An enthusiastic attitude, flexible and adaptable to change.
- Keyboard and IT skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office.
