Job Title: Assessor in Automotive
Department: Automotive Apprenticeships
Salary: £26,713 - £31,000 + market supplement for exceptional candidate (Full-Time Equivalent)
Job Type: Part-Time 0.5 FTE (18.5 hours per week)
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assessor in Automotive to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting apprentices enrolled in Autocare Level 2 and Motor Vehicle Technician Level 3 programs, ensuring successful learner outcomes and maximising each student's potential to achieve their Apprenticeship Standard. Additionally, this role offers the candidate the flexibility to manage their own diary effectively, accommodating both learner needs and program requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess apprentices' learning, providing inspiring and motivational support to foster achievement.
- Implement feedback and assessment systems to accurately monitor and enhance learner progress.
- Uphold the College's Quality Assurance framework while managing courses and administrative tasks.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and development, ensuring high-quality teaching practices.
- Maintain a professional and positive learning environment in line with the College's behaviour management processes.
- Record and track apprentices' progress and achievements both in college and at the workplace.
Criteria
- Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification
- Possess a qualification in Maths and English levels 4 – 9(GCSE Grades A – C) or equivalent
- Hold Assessor and/or verifier Awards or equivalent
- Recent industry related experience relevant to the academic discipline including electric and hybrid vehicles
- Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
- Understanding of value added and the use of progress performance measures
- Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships to enrich teaching and learning
