Non-Executive Director - Governance Opportunity
Permanent position, approximately 0.5 to 1 day per month
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Non-Executive Director (NED) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the apprenticeship sector, extensive experience with Ofsted and the Department for Education (DfE), and a proven track record working with Independent Training Providers (ITPs).
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive Experience in the Apprenticeship Sector: Demonstrated expertise and understanding of the apprenticeship landscape, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ofsted and DfE Expertise: Extensive experience working with Ofsted and the DfE, with a thorough understanding of their frameworks, inspection processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Track Record with ITPs: Proven success in working with Independent Training Providers, showcasing a strong track record of driving performance and compliance.
- Ofsted Inspector Experience (Advantageous): Previous experience as an Ofsted inspector is highly desirable, providing valuable insights into inspection criteria and quality standards.
- Governance, Compliance, and Funding Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of governance and compliance requirements, including a clear understanding of funding rules, the Education Inspection Framework (EIF), the Apprenticeship Accountability Framework (AAF), and other governance obligations, ensuring the organisation adheres to all relevant regulations and standards.
- Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with the ability to contribute to strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
- C-Suite Confidence: Confident and effective in working at the C-suite level, providing valuable insights and guidance to senior executives.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to provide strategic vision and direction, helping to shape the future of the organisation.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
