As a member of the Talent & Recruitment team, you will apply your existing knowledge and adapt it to the exciting world of recruitment at SafeContractor. Your ability to identify transferable skills and effectively engage with candidates from varied backgrounds will be instrumental in sourcing top talent. You will be responsible for owning a variety of commercial hiring areas and will possess a multitude of skills that will help you in driving successful recruitment outputs.
You will be someone who is confident and well versed with stakeholder engagement and influencing mutually required outputs across different seniority levels. You will be a strategic thinker and be able to act on initiative to drive alternative solutions to attracting and hiring the best talent. You will be able to challenge effectively with strong objection handling and influencing skills.
This role is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a period of 12-15 months.What that means day to day
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clarity on the key skills, experience and behaviours required to formulate a robust recruitment strategy for the role.
- Develop a talent pipeline of qualified candidates, proactively approaching talented individuals to sell the Alcumus opportunity across roles at various levels including leading recruitment efforts across apprenticeships, internships and other talent programmes.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with potential employees, maintaining this throughout the recruitment process to ensure a first-class candidate experience.
- Conduct regular recruitment review meetings to determine the success of the current plans and adjust the hiring strategy/approach where required to meet both business and market demands.
- Manage recruitment data and provide weekly recruitment updates to ensure hiring managers are kept up to date with progress.
- Manage and attend hiring events, careers fairs and networking opportunities where possible to support hiring efforts and promote the Alcumus employer brand to attractive markets.
- Contribute to wider talent projects to improve the effectiveness of the team delivery, and meet key business objectives.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, and proactively source opportunities to develop skills and experience to positively impact on the business/role.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Previous recruitment experience (360 or internal), knowledge of talent programmes including apprenticeships and funding, OR experience working within a client / customer facing role with some exposure to the field of talent acquisition.
- Experience of delivering against recruitment and people strategies, including skills/competency based hiring frameworks.
- Ability to plan own work effectively, prioritise tasks and deliver against challenging deadlines.
- Demonstrable ability to work at pace, and with agility.
