Role Purpose:
- Ensure that apprenticeship end-point assessments adhere to established plans and NOCN policies.
- Maintain equitable and consistent assessment practices and decisions among Assessors.
- Enhance overall assessment practices and decision consistency.
- Guide Assessors in delivering comprehensive reports that accurately reflect apprentice achievements and justify grading decisions.
- Promote a positive image of our apprenticeship services to training providers, learners, and employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct internal quality assurance activities, reviewing assessment practices and decisions using a risk-based approach.
- Accurately process end-point assessment results and ensure clear feedback.
- Provide ongoing feedback, advice, and CPD opportunities for Assessors to enhance the quality of assessment.
- Collaborate in interpreting IfATE occupational standards to ensure assessment consistency.
- Report any issues related to assessment tools to the End-Point Assessment Development Manager.
- Engage in performance management procedures to appropriately evaluate and support Assessors.
- Contribute to the review of internal quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Report any suspected malpractice to the Lead Internal Quality Assurer.
- Assist in resolving queries from training providers and apprentices to uphold excellent business relationships.
- Implement the complaints and appeals processes related to apprenticeship assessment.
- Provide accurate and timely management information.
- Complete End Point Assessments based on occupational competence as needed.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Internal Quality Assurer or Head of Assessment and Quality Assurance.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent.
- Educated to Level 4 or above.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong occupational knowledge in the Construction sector.
- Possess both Internal Quality Assurance and Assessor Qualifications.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- A track record of evaluating and reviewing business procedures and systems.
- Adept at collaborating productively across teams.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
