Freelance Health & Safety Trainer
The Company
DM Safety & Health Services are an independent National Health & Safety Consultancy based in the North West. Founded in 2008, the company has grown rapidly by delivering quality HSE services across many sectors.
Due to our continued growth, an opportunity has arisen to expand our team of Health & Safety Professionals.
The Role
We are looking to strengthen our existing team with the appointment of a H&S trainer on a freelance basis who is an experienced, accredited trainer capable of delivering the following courses in locations across the North of England, Scotland and possibly the whole of the UK.
Due to the geographical locations, the ability & willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays is essential to the role.
Currently we have a requirement for 2-4 days per month however this is subject to fluctuation based upon client requirement. The relationship will be on a freelance basis. The courses to be delivered include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Temporary Works
· Scaffold
· Crane Management for operatives and management teams
· Manual Handling
· Abrasive Wheels
· Fall Protection
· Fire Safety
· The development of new training material & PowerPoint presentations as required.
About You:
Qualifications, experience and training:
· Experienced HSE trainer with the ability to deliver some or all of the above courses / training material in a confident, professional manner.
· CITB Site Safety Plus (Approved Tutor Certificate) or willing to work towards this
· Adult Teaching Qualification (AET) or equivalent, or willing to work towards this.
· Experience and competency across the required disciplines.
Personal Abilities:
· The personality to interact with workforce & management alike.
· The ability to deliver of a range of training programs including Temporary Works, Scaffold, Crane Management for operatives and management teams.
· Experience in the development of professional training material, presentations & PowerPoints.
· Excellent time management skills.
· The ability to manage your time & commitments efficiently
· Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to build relationships.
· The willingness to travel (Some occasional overnight stays will be required)
