The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality training to a level 1, 2 & 3 standard in the Forest School suite as offered by AIM Qualifications. This role will be solely responsible for the organisation, delivery of Forest School training to external students, and follow up which includes on site observations, marking of portfolios and internal verification.
The training we offer enables learners to set up their own Forest School sites either independently or at their setting.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate. It is also a regulated activity and will be subject to a Children and Adults Barred List check. You will be solely responsible for the planning and delivery of our Forest School Leaders course. The list below details some of the responsibilities associated with this role.
- The necessary administration associated with the course.
- Assessing students practical skills, through observations at their own forest school sessions
- Marking submitted assessment tasks and students final portfolios in line with Aim standardised criteria.
- Responding to reports from the Internal Verifier and the EQA process

You will need to be an organised and self motivated individual with an enthusiastic and approachable manner. You should be resilient and adaptable and have a flexible approach to teaching and working.
Knowledge of woodland types and structure, local flora and fauna is essential, along with an understanding of child development and play.
You will be required to have a Forest School Level 3 qualification and at least 2 years experience facilitating Forest School sessions year round with a range of learners.
