Nicol of Skene, a leading Civil Engineering and Multi-Utility Contractor based in the North East of Scotland are delighted to be searching for
Apprentices to join our forward thinking dynamic team in
2025.
We are looking for 4 Apprentices to join our Civil and Multi-Utility Divisions.
These exciting Modern Apprenticeship opportunity will give successful candidates a great opportunity to learn whilst on the job, gaining and developing the valuable skills, knowledge and experience needed to become a valuable member of the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start a successful career with us.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will be fully supported by a mentor. You will be working alongside highly qualified individuals who have years of experience within the industry. The team will share their knowledge and experience with you, give hands on training and motivate you to develop your skills and gain the most out of your apprenticeship.
On successful completion of your
2 year apprenticeship, you will gain a formal qualification and will continue employment with Nicol of Skene to start building your career.

Requirements
We are looking for individuals who have a positive attitude to work, are keen to learn, have a passion for the construction industry and who are enthusiastic to understand and gain knowledge working in a busy site environment. As these are Modern Apprenticeships there is no upper age limit for applicants.

Duties
- Setting up barriers and safety signs
- General housekeeping on site
- Pouring in-situ concrete
- Excavating trenches and foundations
- Hard and soft landscaping
- Operating plant and machinery such as rollers and dumpers
- Preparing ground and foundations
- Following strict health and safety procedures
