Digital and IT Tutor (Fixed Term Maternity cover – 12 months)
Scale 6-7, currently £33,476 – £37,659 per annum
Hours per week: 37.5 hours

We are a residential college occupying a former Cadbury family home, set in six acres of beautiful
grounds in Selly Oak, Birmingham. We were originally founded to provide educational opportunities
for some of the most disadvantaged and excluded members of society. More than one hundred years
on from the birth of our College, its mission of ‘social justice’ is more relevant than ever.

We are looking to appoint a Digital and IT Tutor. The post holder will be required to plan and deliver
the college’s IT provision across a range of levels. You’ll contribute to the development of our
curriculum and will collaborate with staff across the college to ensure an excellent learner experience
from initial assessment through to progression.
To be considered for this role you must have an appropriate degree or professional qualification in IT
and a recognised teaching qualification. It is desirable that you have an awareness of Functional
Skills strategies and qualifications. The successful candidate will have effective communication,
administrative and IT skills.
The right person will be someone who enjoys working at a fast pace with a variety of different tasks,
who is self-managed with a strong work ethic, who has a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude and
is a completer / finisher.
