Operations team
The operations team are the real ‘doers’ of Iguana Group. They are responsible for executing our clients’ projects – primarily exhibition stands - to the absolute highest levels of quality, and the team accepts nothing but excellence in the delivery of all our services. Our sales team are responsible for winning new work, but it is the integrity and passion of our operations team that keeps our clients coming back.
Job role
We are looking for an articulate and pro-active apprentice to join our Project Management team. The Operations team are responsible for quoting projects that are under tender, and the end-to-end delivery of all projects that have been secured under contract by the business. PMs need to deal with internal staff, clients, suppliers, and event organisers, and well as any other parties involved in the process. They will assist in managing projects of all budgets and sizes and liaise with clients on a day-to-day basis.
Duties will include:- General Office and admin duties to assist all departments
- Arranging travel and logistics
- Working closely with the sales team, assisting in providing quotations for all services on projects that are under tender. This will involve liaising with many different suppliers to gather costs in a defined time period.
- Assisting in the full project management lifecycle for all projects assigned to them by the head of operations.
- Management of project plans, and on-boarding the project management process onto our system
- Stakeholder management and communication with all involved parties, but particularly with the client, in conjunction with the appropriate account manager (sales).
- Assisting with management of costs relating to the project, ensuring that costs do not escalate and that the project maintains a minimum gross profit as a % of the total project value.
- Contract management and placement of orders with all suppliers relating to the project. Ensuring that orders are accurate, and that the cost is as expected.
- Travelling globally and assisting with on-site management of the project from build-up through to the opening day.
- Involvement with project closure and de-briefing with the client and internal team.
Entry requirements
Applicants should be literate and numerate. Grade C/4 and above in English Maths and IT are preferable
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
Have a full and valid passport
Be able to travel globally without restrictions.
Training to be provided
Event Assistant Level 3 Standard
Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.
Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:
