Salary: £30,202.00 to £41,769.00 per Annum
Wirral Metropolitan College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced ESOL Lecturer for a fixed-term position in Birkenhead, Merseyside, UK. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our college's success, and we are committed to providing a competitive package that reflects their skills and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality ESOL lessons to a diverse range of students.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and relevant staff.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and review of course materials and assessments.
- Participate in staff development activities and attend relevant meetings.
Qualifications:
- Hold a specialist Level 5 or above ESOL teaching qualification, e.g. CELTA or Trinity TESOL, MA TESOL, DELTA or other equivalent
- GCSE or Level 2 English and maths
- Experience teaching ESOL to adults at a range of proficiency levels
- A strong understanding of current ESOL teaching methods and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
