Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Business Studies to join our thriving Economics and Business Department. The successful candidate will primarily teach BTEC Level 3 Business, with some A-Level Business Studies, and contribute to the department’s growing academic and co-curricular activities.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-performing department that has a strong record of academic success, with students progressing to prestigious degree apprenticeships and Russell Group universities. The department also benefits from close links with businesses and alumni, enhancing real-world learning opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status or ECT
- Degree in Business or related subject
- A secure knowledge of your subject
- Proven track record of successful Level 3 BTEC including working knowledge of BTEC processes including internal verification.
- Experience of working with children and young people
- Experience of teaching Economics and or Business at A Level advantageous
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with young people
- Have strong organisational and IT skills
- Able to engage pupils in learning through active teaching strategies
- Able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Able to demonstrate effective planning and teaching skills
- Able to present confidently to a large group of students
