Job Description
The Learning and Development (L&D) team comprises a diverse mix of experts specialising in transformation, early careers, and regional generalists. We are seeking a dedicated Early Careers Programme Manager to oversee and enhance our early careers initiatives across UK, Europe and APAC. This role is crucial in supporting the development of junior talent and ensuring the success of our early careers programmes.
Areas of focus include
- Manage the UK Graduate and Apprenticeship Programmes:Oversee the UK Graduate Programme and UK Apprenticeship Programme, working closely with external vendors to monitor deliverables, demonstrate ROI, and ensure effective use of the apprenticeship levy. Manage and coach talent throughout their time in the programmes, act as a visible role model, and continuously seek to improve the programmes.
- APAC Graduate Underwriting Programme:Provide oversight and support for the APAC Graduate Underwriting Programme, offering guidance, extending learning opportunities, and engaging with talent in-region as a career coach.
- Programme Opportunities:Work with the Early Careers Manager to identify and develop new programme opportunities in the region.
- Recruitment Support:Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support the recruitment process, including participating in interviews, assessment centres, and attending career fairs.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Embed diversity and inclusion into all early careers initiatives, ensuring a diverse pipeline of future leaders.
- Operational Excellence:Manage the end-to-end process for in-region talent, including onboarding, induction, development, and transition from early careers programmes, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for participants.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with internal stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition, business leads, and People Business Partners, to align programme objectives with business needs and ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Talent Development:Coach early-in-career talent throughout their development programmes, offering guidance and feedback to support their career goals and skill expansion.
- Data and Analytics:Utilise data insights to support programme evolutions, focusing on opportunities to expand across regions, product lines, business areas, and talent pools.
- External Relationships:Develop and maintain relationships with key universities and external organisations to support talent attraction and programme success. Manage day-to-day relationships with regional suppliers.
- Programme Evaluation:Run reports and analyse data to feed into the L&D dashboard, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement of early careers programmes.
- Training and Development:Create and deliver training programmes that support the development of talent within and across all Early Careers Development Programmes, partnering with the broader L&D team to align goals and messaging.
- Marketing and Branding:Ensure all early careers internal and external marketing content is up-to-date and continuously evolves, enhancing the employer brand and candidate experience.
- Partnership and Upskilling: Collaborate with our programme manager, wider L&D team in sharing learning, keeping knowledge up-to-date.
