About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organised, and confident individual to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve leading the deployment of apprenticeship initiatives across Lancashire, delivering tangible benefits to businesses and engaging our future workforce in rewarding career paths. You will work closely with the Forum Manager, Project Manager, and delivery partners, including the LEP and other business intermediaries, to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations while meeting government and European Social Fund project contracts.
This is a diverse role offering the successful candidate the chance to play an integral part in skills growth within Lancashire and the North West.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery:
- Coordinate and deliver presentations and facilitate application workshops in schools and colleges across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
- Liaise with schools and colleges to arrange ASK (Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge) events, ensuring compliance with contractual targets and project profiles.
- Support the Project Manager in the production of reports, returns, and evidence for funding organisations.
- Support and develop relationships with businesses to secure funding for apprenticeships through the Lancashire Levy Transfer Network.
- Ensure the accurate and timely collection and recording of project data, adhering to all aspects of project contracts and company standards.
- General Administration:
- Carry out general administrative tasks associated with project coordination.
- Handle routine enquiries and provide support to other team members as needed.
- Project Support:
- Assist with the delivery of other projects as directed by the Forum Manager, such as the Lancashire Skills Pledge and the North West Ambassador Network.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in project coordination and delivery.
- Experience of working with young people and/or within the education sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience in the apprenticeship sector.
- Knowledge of relevant funding streams and regulations.
- Experience of using CRM systems or other database management tools.
- Experience of working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
