About apprenticeships at Marriott in the UK
If university study isn’t the right path for you, a hospitality apprenticeship could be a good alternative. Apprenticeships are paid roles offering on-the-job experience in a focused area, plus a recognised, vocational qualification.
In the UK, we offer apprenticeship qualifications from level 2 all the way up to level 7 across all of our departments: everything from hotel operations, to engineering, to golf-greenkeeping, sales, leadership, and more.
Our apprenticeships in a nutshell:
- On-the-job experience working in your chosen area
- At least 6 hours a week of vital learning and study time (webinars, college teaching, training sessions, coaching)
- Paid, contracted employment
- Formal assessment leading to a nationally recognised qualification
What can I expect from a Marriott apprenticeship in the UK?

Our apprentices are paid the same wages as our associates in equivalent job roles, and you’ll get both your work experience and your apprentice qualification without the financial baggage of a student loan.
Who is eligible for an apprenticeship?
You can apply for one of our apprenticeships if you’re a school leaver or if you already work for Marriott and want to hone your skills in a certain area. There’s no age limit for completing an apprenticeship with us, so it’s never too late to learn something new!
What types of apprenticeship do you offer?
Apprenticeships come in various levels. At Marriott UK we offer:
- Level 2: Equivalent to 5 GCSEs
- Level 3: Equivalent to 2 A Levels
- Level 4: Equivalent to a Diploma
- Level 5: Equivalent to a Foundation Degree
- Level 6: Equivalent to a Degree
- Level 7: Equivalent to a Master’s Degree
Qualifications are available in all departments, so there are tons of possibilities waiting for new applicants, from aspiring commis chefs and food and beverage associates, to marketing, finance or HR managers!
