The role
We are seeking to make an open-ended Pathway 1, Lecturer or Senior Lecturer appointment in the area of Financial Technology (Fintech). The appointed candidates will undertake research in Financial Technology, contribute to our teaching and related administration associated with our MSc Financial Technology with Data Science (Fintech). You will take an active role in the supporting the broader requirements of the school in discussion with the Head of School.
What will you be doing?
Candidates will conduct high quality research and regularly publish in internationally leading venues. They will apply for research funding from diverse sources and supervise post-doctoral researchers and PhD students. You will be expected to take an active role in providing high quality and innovative teaching and assessment in the School and this will include contributing to our MSc Financial Technology with Data Science (Fintech). You will work as part of a team and support colleagues in their teaching delivery and personal development. You will support your academic team leader in the running of your team.

You should apply if your research work involves Fintech and you should also have experience in teaching Fintech (or a strong desire to do so). We are seeking future leaders in their field and so we are looking for people who can demonstrate their leadership potential. You must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and have the ability to act as a role model to other staff. Some industry experience in the Fintech area would be desirable.
