We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Engineering Tutor and Skills Coach to join our team.About The Role:As a key part of our team, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of learners across the island. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective tutoring sessions, providing academic support, and coaching students to develop essential engineering skills.Key Responsibilities:Teach, train, coach, assess and support students throughout their learning journey.Use various teaching methods to promote inclusive learning for all.Create and deliver engaging learning experiences that empower students to excel in their chosen path.Visit and observe students in their workplace to provide support, undertake periodic reviews, gather evidence, and ensure a holistic learning experience.Tailor additional support and catch-up solutions to meet individual needs and personal and professional goals.About you:To be successful in this role, you will need:Level 2 Qualifications in English and MathsA Level 2 Occupational Qualification in a relevant area, or be willing to work towards oneA full driving licence, access to a car and 'business use' car insuranceAbility to maintain and adhere to Health & Safety Legislation to secure a safe learning environmentA working knowledge of Apprenticeship standards (and/or frameworks) is desirable, but not essentialWhat we can offer:Employees at the Isle of Wight College enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that enhances their work-life balance and wellbeing.
