About The Role
Please note that this vacancy requires the successful candidate to work 26 hours per week, 38 weeks during term time and the salary will be £14,731 pro rata per annum.
A holiday payment of £2,134 will be paid equally in your twelve monthly salary payments in addition to the pro rata salary above.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at East Kent Colleges Group for a Learning Skills Coach based at Broadstairs.
Do you have a passion for digital support, to breaking down barriers to learning?
This role will be instrumental in supporting learners to gain wider skills ready for the workplace. You will use appropriate tools, processes, and systems to identify students' skills needs and plan effective strategies to support development.
As a
Learning Skills Coach you will work 1:1 with learners or in small groups to identify and support students skill needs over a range of topics including:
- English Support - Functional Skills to GCSE
- Maths Support - Functional Skills to GCSE
- Vocational Support with exam preparation and course work completion
- Digital support - including access to Wi-Fi, Microsoft systems and how to use assistive technology

About You
You will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan engaging and innovative sessions with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
You will be passionate about making a difference to the future careers of our students, providing academic and digital support to build confidence and support achievement.
