Trainer Role Overview
Responsible for the implementation, overview, organisation, and delivery of mandatory induction and training programmes to improve the knowledge, skills, and competence of UNIFI employees.
Trainer Responsibilities
- Deliver company training programmes and inductions for all initial and recurrent staff members, ensuring they attain the relevant level of competence to deliver their role.
- Deliver mandatory training in accordance with legislative and industry requirements, such as, Manual Handling, Health & Safety at work, EWIS Group 6
- Ensure all company training programmes are conducted in accordance with company standards and staff members remain competent to perform within their job role.
- Complete on the job (OJT) competency assessments to ensure staff have the appropriate skills, knowledge and attitude to complete their job role.
- Work closely with Operational Management to ensure staff members have the appropriate support during their employment.
- Identify and agree additional training or development needed to support competence and confidence of staff members
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all training, identifying training gaps and recommending relevant to solutions to meet these needs.
- Support the management of the Learning Management System / Training Matrix ensuring training records staff members’ training is compliance and recorded appropriately.
- Remain current with new developments and changes in relation to industry, legislative, customer and internal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s equality, diversity, and equal opportunities policy, in respect of employment and training delivery.
- Where needed attend training courses and gain appropriate qualification in accordance with role and company requirements.
- Always adopt and advocate company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Local Operating Procedures (LOPs).
- Deliver 3rd party training programmes as required, including Airside Driving courses
- Carry out any other reasonable duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.
Trainer Requirements
- Qualification or willingness to work towards a Learning & development Level 3 qualification.
- A good knowledge of aircraft presentation, including interior, exterior and de-icing.
- Experience in preparing and delivering training programmes.
- Able to present training programmes confidently on a 1:1 and group basis
- Good working knowledge of IT systems with experience of Microsoft Office and online training systems.
- Knowledge of using personal development plans to enhance workforce skills would be beneficial.
- Excellent timekeeper who is organised and reliable.
- Ability to communicate and motivate others, helping them to achieve their potential.
- Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines and to work accurately under pressure.
- Must have a full driving licence and be willing to work out at other stations within the Up and Away network.
- Has the ability to work evenings and weekends to suit the needs of the business.
