KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual for the position of Functional Skills Trainer.
Salary: £29,400 - £33,600 (Depending on skills and experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2 to learners undertaking Apprenticeship qualifications through both face-to-face and online methods.
- Design and conduct engaging training sessions while providing ongoing Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to learners.
- Adapt delivery methods to meet the diverse needs of learners, ensuring effective differentiation.
- Assist learners in identifying the skills necessary to advance towards their career goals.
- Exhibit energy and passion to inspire and motivate learners, helping them achieve their potential.
- Advocate for Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, and Health and Safety.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in delivering Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2.
- Possess a recognized Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
- Hold GCSEs (B or above) or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English.
- Confident, tenacious, and able to work independently.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and the ability to motivate and train learners.
- Skilled in overcoming challenges and supporting learners to progress.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
- A full, clean UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
