Main purpose of the Job
The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality, supportive and engaging qualifications to candidates enrolled onto funded apprenticeship programmes and other government funded initiatives across our management apprenticeships and a knowledge of print production processes would be advantageous.

You will be responsible for:
- Engaging and supporting an agreed caseload of learners to achieve qualifications in a timely manner by providing meaningful teaching/learning and assessment sessions, conducting regular formal progress reviews, and following the delivery guidelines.
- Delivering Functional Skills as part of the overall apprenticeship framework or an approved apprenticeship Standard within agreed timeline.
- Managing own caseload effectively using an e-portfolio platform to progress learners effectively from start to timely completion.
- Deliver apprenticeship Standards following the approved assessment plan and ensuring preparation of learners for end point assessment.
- Prepare learners for Gateway and EPA
- Supporting the design of learning and assessment activities that meet the outcomes for apprenticeships Standards and job roles in your sector/s.
- Supporting both levy and non-levy funded learners on apprenticeship programmes.
- Responding to learner and employer queries in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring regular contact is maintained for the full duration of the learner journey and qualification.
- Providing a thorough induction and robust initial assessment and diagnostic process, establishing the correct level and qualification a learner should be undertaking.
- Ensuring the Individual Learning Plan is maintained and updated regularly.
- Following TAQA and QCF code of practice to ensure a quality learner journey is made available to all learners.
- Following guidance with regards to teaching and assessment practice and the completion of paperwork, ensuring the relevant compliant documentation is used.
- Undertaking regular CPD training as agreed by the Apprenticeship Manager
- Attending regular standardisation/team meetings to ensure consistency of delivery.
- Ensuring learners are supported according to their specific needs,
- Using technology to teach and fully engage with learners – online tools, interactive sessions, webinars, remote learning.
- Ensuring that anyone else involved in the assessment process gives their consent, especially where this may mean intrusion into areas of privacy and confidentiality.
- Monitoring companies’ compliance with health and safety regulations in line with assessment pack and undertake Health & Safety Health checks as agreed in conjunction with National Health, Safety & Environment Adviser.
- Maintaining paperwork and records to comply with SFA/Ofsted regulations and inspections.
- Promoting apprenticeships during the course of your engagement with learners and employers
- Following and act on any guidance given by the apprenticeship performance manager
- Updating the Apprenticeship performance manager on a weekly or monthly basis with individual learner’s progress.
- Ensuring that learners are fully aware of current legislation relating to them and their assessment including maintaining compliance with ‘Safe Learner’ requirements.
- Undertaking any other duties as and when required.
- Maintaining a proficient level of support and delivery which will be monitored by KPI’s and IQA checks.
Knowledge and Skills
You will need:
- Relevant QCF Assessor qualifications – e.g., D32/A1 Assessor/ TAQA
- 2-years minimum experience of Apprenticeship and Functional Skills led training programmes.
- GCSE A – C equivalent in Maths and English
- Experience of using e-portfolios and good IT skills
- To hold or be willing to work towards an IAG qualification.
- To hold or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
- Working knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding, Prevent and Equality and Diversity legislation.
- Ability to present information to a range of people including business directors etc.
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities to increase income.
- Ability to manage day to day relationship with learners.
