Job Purpose
The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing a variety of events, including job fairs, school liaison activities, apprenticeship events, webinars, internal celebrations, and learner engagement initiatives. This role is integral to strengthening relationships with learners, employers, and education partners while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality events.

This role is integral to strengthening relationships with learners, employers, and education partners while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality events.
Health and Safety
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments for events and implement necessary safety measures.
- Liaise with venue providers to confirm adherence to safety standards.
- Ensure safeguarding measures are in place for events involving young people and vulnerable adults.
General
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in event management.
- Undertake any other duties as required by management.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Qualifications and specific training
Essential
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
- Event Management qualification or Event Coordination experience.
- Safeguarding training or willingness to undertake.
Desirable
- Level 4 qualification in leadership/management.
- Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH).
- Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) qualification.
- Marketing or public relations qualification.
Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in event coordination, ideally within the education, training, or employability sectors.
- Experience in organising large-scale events, including liaising with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing event budgets and logistics.
Desirable
- Experience in working with schools, apprenticeship providers, or employment services
- Experience using event management software and CRM systems.
- Knowledge of government-funded training initiatives and apprenticeship programs
Knowledge

- Best practices in event planning, coordination, and execution.
- Effective engagement strategies for schools, employers, and learners.
- Marketing techniques to maximise event impact.
- Health and safety requirements related to event management.
Desirable
- Understanding of the apprenticeship and further education landscape
- Awareness of compliance and risk management in event planning.

- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
- Creativity in event design and problem-solving.
Desirable
- Experience in social media and digital marketing for event promotion.
- Competency in design software e.g. Canva
- Ability to innovate and implement creative solutions to challenges.
