Job Type: Part Time- 10.5 hours per week
Salary: £33,000-£41,108 FTE (Full-Time Equivalent)
Are you looking for a fun and rewarding part-time role. We are seeking a Hairdressing Lecturer/Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure successful learner outcomes and maximise the potential of every student to progress to their chosen destination.

Key Responsibilities
- Delivery and assessment of hairdressing apprenticeship standards to learners in college and at employer sites.
- Conducting regular assessments and complete reviews with employers, detailing learner progress, next steps, and areas for improvement to facilitate a collaborative approach to the achievement of apprenticeship standards.
- Implementing appropriate feedback and assessment systems to accurately check learning, adapting as required to ensure learner progress.
- Operating within the Quality Assurance framework.
- Setting high expectations and developing and conducting teaching and assessment activity that supports learners to gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to achieve their apprenticeship standard in a timely manner.
- Contributing to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation.
Essential Criteria
- Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification in hairdressing.
- Possess an assessor award (D32/33, A1 or equivalent)
- Possess a qualification in Maths and English levels 4 – 9(GCSE Grades A – C) or equivalent or willing to work towards
- Track record of successfully delivering and assessing hairdressing apprenticeships
- Recent industry related experience relevant to the academic discipline
- Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
- Experience of developing and maintaining external partnerships.
