Learning Manager
Hours: 37 hours per week during term time plus five days. Part-time options will be considered, please state your preference in your application.
Salary: £25,302.87 to £26,143.89
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Outwood Grange Academy is based in the cathedral city of Wakefield and we are proud to be rated Good by Ofsted. As a Learning Manager, you will support our ethos of raising standards and transforming lives by working closely with your assigned year group(s). You will support their learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring to maximise student attainment. This is a very rewarding role that would be perfect for someone aspiring to make a difference to students' lives.
In the first instance, the successful candidate will be assigned to Year 12 and Year 13. However, you may be assigned to any year group between Year 7 and Year 13.
We are looking for someone who has a real interest and passion for breaking down the barriers faced by our students to help them achieve. You will monitor and support students, both academically and behaviourally. This role requires teamwork as you will be required to work closely with the Inclusion Co-Coordinator and the Leadership Team on improving student behaviour, attendance and outcomes. Day to day, you will work with students to help them to be the best they can be.
The successful candidate must be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on your own initiative and be able to lead by example are essential. You will be required to deal with students, parents and outside agencies in a professional, prompt and confidential manner.
