Vacancy for Teaching Assistant at Downham Feoffees Primary Academy
Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 4- 5 Points 3-7 (Level 1-2 Teaching Assistant) Teaching Assistant Actual Salary: £10,939 - £11,648, based on 20 hours per week
Hours: up to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm, term time only
Responsible to the Headteacher
This is a role with an opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and progress of our pupils, working to provide one-to-one and group support and teaching. You will be adapting teaching resources, thinking of new ways to learn, being fun and creative in your approach and adaptable to children's needs. Our Teaching Assistants are highly valued in our school - you will work closely with our SENDCo and SEND team to provide our children with the best possible educational opportunities. An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays.

The ideal candidate:
- Will possess GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
- Will have experience of supporting pupils with SEND or behaviour needs would be beneficial.
- Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
- Can be adaptable, take on board new ideas and think on your feet!
- Has an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
