About the Role
Salford City College is a leading training provider in the gas and plumbing sector, dedicated to delivering high-quality education and assessment services. We are committed to ensuring our learners receive the best possible training to excel in their careers. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Gas Centre Trainer/Assessor to join our dynamic team.
As a Gas Centre Trainer/Assessor, you will play a crucial role in delivering training and assessment for the ACS (Accredited Certification Scheme) qualifications and also support apprentices undertaking plumbing and gas qualifications. You will be responsible for guiding learners and ensuring they meet the necessary competencies to achieve their qualifications.
You Will:
- Conduct engaging and effective training sessions in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Assess learners' competencies through practical and theoretical examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their development
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and enhance training materials and resources, ensuring they are up-to-date with industry standards
- Provide guidance and support to learners throughout their training journey, addressing any questions or concerns they may have
- Maintain high standards of training and assessment in compliance with regulatory requirements and the guidelines set by the relevant governing bodies.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, participating in CPD activities and sharing knowledge with colleagues
The ideal candidate will have relevant and up to date qualifications, gas safe registration, appropriate teaching and assessing qualifications (e.g. CAVA/A1/AET/PTLLS) and experience of delivering both short courses and extended learning programmes.
