Aviation Security Trainer will design, update and deliver CAA regulated security training courses to internal employees. Working as part of the training team you will deliver induction and recurrent training packages. There is an element of administration duties that include following a process to store, record and audit training documentation. Working as an integral member of the airport people and planning team, proactively support the delivery of the airport training strategy. Your main role is to ensure that all employees receive appropriate mandatory and Security training, and that competence is maintained.
You will also design and deliver standard and bespoke packages for training sessions, workshops and coaching to meet the needs of our business.
About the Recruitment process The recruitment process for this role will be a one stage, in person interview, with our Head of Development, and our Lead Trainer. The interview will include a presentation on a topic we will provide in advance, and will be followed by competency based questions.
What you’ll be doing- Design and deliver CAA Aviation Security legislative training and development programmes.
- Working with other relevant departments as a team to produce programmes that meet business and statutory needs.
- Ensure that airport statutory training requirements are met.
- Amending and reviewing existing programmes as necessary, to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
- Keep up to date with developments in training and legislation by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.
- Understand e-learning techniques, and where relevant, being involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages.
- Build effective and constructive relationships and partnerships with all stakeholders.
- Ensure all training and development activities are appropriately recorded.
What we’re looking for Essential:
- The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Counter Terrorist Check so you must have lived in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years
- Ability to train Ground Security Officers and Ground Security Supervisors
- Able to demonstrate technical training competence, both with individual and group training
- A dynamic and inspirational trainer and coach.
- Ability to use multiple learning methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter.
- Ability to manage own workload and competing priorities to end objectives with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates strong technical awareness and an understanding of business needs.
- Good working knowledge of training programme delivery and planning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to influence all levels of the business.
Desirable:
- Holds a current Certificated Instructor Number (CIN)
- An accredited training qualification i.e. Award in Education and Training Level 3 or equivalent.
