Salary: £29,770 - £34,600 (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced Civil Engineering professional with a passion for mentoring and training the next generation? Our client, a leading further education college in Cambridge, is seeking a dedicated Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering to support and guide learners through their apprenticeships.
The Role:
As an Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering, you will:
- Manage a caseload of apprentices, providing high-quality coaching, mentoring, and support.
- Conduct regular progress reviews, ensuring learners are on track with their qualifications.
- Work closely with employers to identify suitable tasks and training opportunities.
- Support apprentices in developing their portfolios and preparing for end-point assessments (EPA).
- Ensure all tracking and documentation meet quality assurance and compliance requirements.
- Deliver targeted training to help learners develop wider employability and life skills.
- Promote the college’s values and ensure adherence to awarding body standards.
About You:
We are looking for a skilled professional who has:
- A relevant Civil Engineering qualification and industry experience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for training and mentoring learners.
- An understanding of apprenticeship standards and end-point assessments.
Qualifications Required:
- A Level 3 vocational qualification in Civil Engineering.
- A Level 3 TAQA qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) – desirable but not essential.
