£400 – £450 per week (depending on qualifications and experience)
About the Role
Connex Education is partnering with primary schools in West Bridgford (NG2) to offer a long-term Teaching Assistant position. This role will involve working 5 days a week, allowing you to provide consistent support and make a lasting impact in the classroom.
As a successful Teaching Assistant, you will be placed in one or more primary schools in the West Bridgford area. Your role will include supporting children in the early years with Phonics (Read, Write Inc) and working with older year groups to assist with SATs preparation. Your passion for improving children’s educational outcomes will be key, as you help guide students to achieve their learning goals and develop a love for learning.
Duties will include providing general classroom support for KS1 and KS2, facilitating learning through play, and delivering small group interventions for pupils who require additional help. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help students reach their academic potential.

Person Specification
- Experience working with children aged 4–11 years
- Willing to support children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc
- Organised, reliable, and proactive
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to process a new one
- Willing to go the extra mile
