The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a Painting & Decorating Lecturer to join our student-focused team on a fixed-term basis. This role will start in August 2025. We would particularly like candidates with experience of delivering on apprenticeships. Applications on a part-time basis will also be considered.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at Accrington & Rossendale College but may be required to travel across sites.
What You Will Be Doing:
- For candidates with relevant experience, have specific responsibility for driving apprenticeships and employer engagement
- Teach on other Painting & Decorating programmes as required (Entry level to Level 3)
- Be up to date, plan and prepare high-quality teaching as required by your Line Manager
- Develop and share resources for the subject including maintaining effective links across college for resources
- Regularly assess students in order to track and monitor progress
What We Are Looking For:
- • 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
- • Minimum level 3 qualification in a related subject
- • Recognised teaching and assessor qualification or a willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment
- • A higher degree or advanced qualification
- • Assessor and Verifier Qualifications
