Learning and Development Manager
Eden Brown Synergy are proud to be working with a Public Sector Organisation within Gloucestershire, who require an experienced Learning and Development Manager to join their expanding team.
You will ensure that the Organisation's workforce is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional services. This includes Designing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive training and development programs that align with organisational goals and the specific needs of our workforce. You will work with colleagues as required to design and develop training programs tailored to meet the needs of our employees. This includes onboarding, compliance, health and safety, customer service, and technical skills training. Key duties include:
- Champion continuous improvement by constructively challenging existing customs and practices, introducing improvements where appropriate in order to deliver a recognised high-quality service
- Coordinate and oversee GMS statutory and mandatory training requirements.
- Play a fundamental role in establishing a continuous improvement mind-set within the HR/OD team, ensuring that all of our operating processes, policies and activities are reviewed from a 'customer / service user' perspective.
- Support the development of digitalisation of manual processes
- Conduct regular training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads and stakeholders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
- Oversee the delivery of training sessions, workshops, and seminars, ensuring they are engaging and effective. Utilise a variety of training methods, including e-learning, classroom instruction, and on-the-job training
- Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery
- Help managers develop their team members through establishing and overseeing career pathways, further developing apprenticeship opportunities, utilising support from Trust teams as required.
- Ensure all training programs comply with required standards, relevant legislation, and best practices in facilities management and healthcare
- Identify and develop future leaders within the organisation by reviewing and updating tailored leadership development programs
- Manage and develop the Learning & Development Administrator
- Work closely with HR to integrate training and development initiatives into the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
- Oversee the budget for learning and development activities, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact
- Prepare and present reports on training outcomes and development initiatives to senior management and stakeholders
The salary can range between £46,000 - £52,000 per annum depending on experience and the Department would like for someone to start in April 2025 ideally. This is a permanent job opportunity and the successful candidate will be expected to work across both sites in Gloucester and Cheltenham, with a minimum of three days on site and 2 days WFH.
