An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic, forward thinking education manager at Norfolk County Council’s Adult Learning service, which changes the lives of thousands of adult learners in Norfolk every year through the delivery of inspirational learning (qualifications, apprenticeships, and non-accredited learning programmes) with exceptional support. The area of responsibility will support local and national priorities and enable learners to progress and achieve, as well as support social inclusion and economic success in defined localities in Norfolk. This post manages the quality, design and development as well as the planning and effective implementation of a highly responsive, progressive curriculum, in defined areas of responsibility. The post holder will develop, plan and recruit learners to a programme of learning that directly responds to learner, employer and community needs, as well as service priorities, so as to achieve learner recruitment and income targets. The post holder will manage the countywide flexible delivery of a high-quality programme of learning, so as to achieve the service’s intent, performance targets and quality standards across a wide variety of flexible delivery and funding models, including qualification and non-qualification programmes, apprenticeships and fee-paying commercial courses. The post holder will collaboratively manage the cross-service intent, development and implementation of learning programmes, ensuring that the service captures both quantitative and qualitative evidence of the impact it has on its learners and the county. To ensure this information is communicated to the service’s stakeholders and partners, including through the self-assessment report, and that it is current and available for Ofsted inspection. The post holder will also manage a cross-service theme, as directed by the Assistant Head of Service, ensuring that Adult Learning responds to its service vision, the rigour of Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework, the Self-Assessment process and the resulting Quality Improvement Plans.
This organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of learners and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
