Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship Programme – Dunmanbridge – (Cookstown)
We have unique new opportunities for candidates with an appetite to work in the fast-paced environment of Food Manufacturing. Throughout our Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship programme, you will gain the tools to respond to plant and equipment faults, fault diagnostic skills, ability to carry out planned maintenance, teamwork and communication skills and become a key driver in electrical and mechanical manufacturing efficiencies.
As part of the apprenticeship Dale Farm will release the apprentices to attend South West Regional College where they will get the opportunity to work towards a NVQ Level 3 Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer qualification. The successful applicants will also receive support and guidance from an experienced team of engineers where they will have the opportunity to put the theory into practical experience on the factory floor.
We are looking for applicants within the maintenance engineering field and possess the skill set, have the energy, drive and desire to develop while contributing to a winning team and have the ambition to become a fully qualified multi-skilled engineer.
The 3-year training programme will provide you with:
- Industry expert training
- Mentor support on site
- Opportunities for career advancement post qualification
On completion of the NVQ L3 Food and Drink Maintenance Engineer Apprentice Programme, there also is the opportunity to complete a Higher-Level Apprenticeship Programme, equivalent to a Foundation Degree.
We are looking for candidates who are ambitious and who will take a proactive and positive approach to work, and who can demonstrate reliability and willingness to work flexible work patterns. The successful candidates will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Total of 16 points at GCSE level inclusive of A-C in English, Maths & ICT (or equivalent Essential Skills Level 2 in Literacy & Numeracy) is desirable.
- Must have a good work ethic, self-motivated, good attendance, punctuality and be flexible to travel when required.
- A passion for the food industry & a desire to learn.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering.
- Have good electrical or mechanical aptitude demonstrated through school activities or hobby interests.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
