TSW Training are looking to recruit a skilled and knowledgeable NVQ assessor and training advisor to deliver apprenticeships in Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD) and Playwork. This customer-facing role ensures apprentices and employers receive exceptional support and training experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business and management, be able to drive as the role will involve travel to multiple employer locations and to a range of local college partners who deliver aspects of our apprenticeship programmes. Previous experience as an NVQ assessor and/or training advisor is highly desirable.
As the face of our business, you'll deliver high-level customer service and build crucial relationships with employers and apprentices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting scheduled visits to employers for learning delivery, assessment, and apprentice reviews employers in line with quality and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring and supporting apprentices in accordance with their Learning Plan and qualifications.
- Maintaining accurate records of learning and progress in line with internal and external requirements.
- Providing expert advice, guidance, and support to employers and apprentices.
- Ensuring learner welfare and safety at all times.
- Facilitating timely completion of qualifications and courses.
- Proactively resolving issues impacting learner achievement.
- Work with colleagues to support apprentices with additional learning needs.
- Support the development of literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, and Welsh language skills of apprentices.

- Adhere to the Education Workforce Council (EWC) Code of Professional Conduct and Practice.
- Recruit apprentices onto appropriate learning programmes in line with contractual eligibility requirements.
- Undertake effective initial assessment of apprentice needs and potential.
- Undertake continuous professional development in relation to occupational competence as well as teaching and assessment practices.
- Adhere to all internal quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Participate in standardisation and sharing of best practice within and across delivery teams.
- Adhere to internal and external health and safety requirements.
- Adhere to all requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

We seek individuals with:
- Occupational competence for qualification delivery in line with Awarding Body requirements.
- Experience working in the early years sector and qualified up to Level 5 NVQ.
- Hold an assessor/IQA qualification (not essential) and have experience of work-based learning.
- knowledge of City and Guilds CCPLD and Playwork qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal Skills and be confident in dealing with a wide range of contacts.
- Excellent IT skills and digital literacy.
- Excellent written skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Be able to manage your own time and prioritise effectively.
- Understanding of the Prevent Duties.
