Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (pro-rata)

The Role:
We are looking for a motivated, inspiring Maths and English Tutor to join our team. This term-time-only role will involve teaching and supporting students in our learning centres, focusing on 14-16 year-olds in an alternative school setting and 16-19 year-olds completing Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications.
As a professional tutor at Juniper Training, you will be responsible for creating your own classes, developing schemes of work, and implementing assessment plans. You’ll play a key role in nurturing each student’s academic growth using a variety of teaching techniques and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and inspire young adults aged 14-19 in Functional Skills and GCSE Maths and English.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment materials to support student progression.
- Deliver a well-structured timetable, in collaboration with the team, to optimize learning.
- Work across two sites in Bootle, Liverpool, and Runcorn—access to a car is essential.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on educational best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience teaching GCSE and Functional Skills Maths and English.
- A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS) is essential.
- A passion for supporting the educational development of young adults.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to connect with and inspire students.
- A passion for sports is desirable but not essential.
