We currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our Learning Disability Training Team as a Job Coach
We’re looking for a motivated Job Coach who enjoys delivering practical hands-on support to people with learning disabilities as part of a friendly and supportive team. The Learning Disability Employment Team supports people with learning disabilities for work. We work in a person-centred way and help our service users to identify their skills, aspirations and support needs.
You’ll work with individuals to develop skills for work, teamwork and communication skills in the work place. Identify training and development opportunities through practical work activities which are positive, valued and varied for our customers. This role is varied and there will be opportunities to work with a range of small/medium and large employers across the city in providing work opportunities for our customer group. This is a hands-on busy role
We work with a wide range of people with disabilities. We create a positive and fun working environment whilst maintaining very high levels of health and safety and professional standards. It is important that you can work as part of a team, but also work on your own initiative. A positive attitude to working with people with disabilities is essential. Clear, respectful communication is required. We also promote health awareness, independent living skills and progression opportunities and self-advocacy for all of our customers.
This is a very varied role, working with a great group of people with learning disabilities who are seeking employment and opportunities to aid their independence.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £26,000 to £29,545 p.a. (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Key Responsibilities
Deliver hands-on work skills training through practical work. Helping individuals develop general skills for work and developing skills for independence.
Work with customers to identify their skills, strengths, support needs and employment preferences.
To ensure that the working environment is positive and pleasant for customers. Work in a person-centred way. Motivate, communicate and listen to customers. Problem-solve issues and communicate issues to Manager.
Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience of working with people with disabilities or disadvantages, in particular those with a learning disability.
Proven track record re good communication and teamwork skills
Experience of identifying training needs and delivering training and support.
Good organisational skills. Able to work on own initiative.
Desirable
A qualification in Care, Training or equivalent experience
Have flexibility and be willing to deliver training in a range of work areas at Pluss
A full driving license and a willingness to drive a crew cab van
