We are looking for an experienced Apprenticeship Delivery Manager to lead and manage our IT & Digital Apprenticeship programmes. In this role, you will ensure a highly effective experience for learners, guiding them along individualized pathways to maximize their potential and achieve timely success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of all apprenticeship programmes, ensuring programmes are delivered on schedule and completed as planned; meet contractual targets and objectives related to success rates, non-starters, referrals, and progressions.
- Oversee Trainer & Mentor management, including capacity planning, providing individual support, and managing annual leave, performance needs, and professional development.
- Maintain compliance with apprenticeship standards, awarding body requirements, and government regulations (e.g., EPAOs, ESFA funding rules).
- Oversee wider programme requirements such as Functional Skills delivery, Additional Learner Support (ALS), content creation, and curriculum development.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with delivery staff, setting clear objectives and ensuring high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Promote continuous professional development (CPD) to maintain industry knowledge and training standards.
- Oversee the quality of training delivery, ensuring learning materials, assessments, and feedback meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Foster effective partnerships with awarding bodies, external quality assurers, and other stakeholders to maintain compliance and excellence.
- Track and report on KPIs, including completion rates, retention, learner progression, and satisfaction from both learners and employers.
- Guarantee compliance throughout the learner journey, including ensuring OTJ requirements are met, Significant Learning Events (SLEs) are documented every 4 weeks, and progress reviews occur every 8-12 weeks.
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation and data management for apprenticeship funding claims, including timely recording of BIL or withdrawal evidence.
- Implement effective solutions and contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure apprentices and employers receive the necessary support.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading educational teams, developing teaching strategies, and managing quality assurance frameworks. Familiarity with the Common Inspection Framework and experience with awarding bodies are essential.
- Proven experience driving quality learning and achieving learner start and completion targets.
- In-depth knowledge of Apprenticeships and funding streams, including AEB.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Operations/Performance Manager role, managing a team of Assessors.
- Confidence and professionalism in building strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Ofsted requirements.
- Excellent leadership capabilities, ability to inspire and manage teams, strong analytical skills for data interpretation, and adept at planning and prioritising.

This is a hybrid role and will require travel to Derby HQ (East Midlands) at least 2 days per week.
